SMS Terms & Conditions
1. Program Description
ABCyclery, LLC, operating as RIDE Cyclery, operates an SMS notification program to send transactional text message updates to customers who have consented to receive work order communications regarding their bicycle service.
Messages sent through this program include:
- Drop-off confirmation and estimated completion date
- Technician updates, including scope changes or additional parts required
- Delay notifications and revised completion estimates
- Price change notifications with approval requests where applicable
- Work order completion and pickup notification
- Post-pickup thank-you message
No promotional or marketing messages will be sent through this program.
2. Consent & Opt-In
Participation in this program is voluntary. Consent is obtained verbally at the time of bicycle drop-off for service. A RIDE Cyclery staff member will explain the program and ask for your explicit yes or no confirmation before enrolling your phone number.
Customers who decline are marked as opted out in our system and will not receive any messages. Consent to receive SMS updates is not required to receive service.
3. Message Frequency
You will receive approximately 4 messages per bicycle serviced. If you drop off multiple bicycles in a single visit or across a month, you will receive approximately 4 messages per bicycle. Message frequency may vary based on work order complexity and any changes that arise during service.
4. Costs & Carrier Fees
RIDE Cyclery does not charge for SMS updates. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile phone service plan. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
5. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of the program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from RIDE Cyclery. You will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out, and no further messages will be sent. You may also request opt-out in person at the shop or by emailing ride@ridecyclery.com.

7. Supported Carriers
This program is available on all major U.S. wireless carriers. Carrier support may vary. RIDE Cyclery is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues.
8. Changes to These Terms
ABCyclery, LLC reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted at ridecyclery.com/sms/terms. Continued participation in the program following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Privacy
Your phone number and personal information are handled in accordance with our SMS Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
